Simone Biles

Gymnast Simone Biles captured her 20th world championship gold medal as Team USA won its seventh consecutive world championship in Antwerp Belgium on October 4. Simone Biles is the most acclaimed gymnast in history with 33 medals won in international competitions and the Olympics. Biles had performed a vault that was so challenging it was the first vault a woman ever did on an international scale. The feat, originally known in the form of Yurchenko Double Pike vault has now been renamed to the Biles II. The 6th of October is when the world-record holder will compete in her individual all-around competition. This will be her first event on the international stage since the year 2021. Simone, born in Columbus Ohio in 1997 was removed from her mother's home due to her addiction. Her siblings and she were placed into foster care. Ron who was a retired Air Force vet and Nellie who was a nurse with a retirement, looked after Simone aged six years old. Additionally, they adopted the smaller sister Adria. Their aunt was the one who took in Simone's older siblings.
